Judy balan is up here with a hilarious tale of two ordinary lovers with a very extraordinary stories where the couple are fed with their so called happy married life and are moving forward to divorce. With lots of stories with similar genre, this story is going make it's unique stand because of the sarcastic comic style that the writer have undertaken to frame the book (Typical girlish style). As a debut author Judy has done a great job with the perfect narration of characters and of course the Tamilian and Punjabi lifestyles.
Two Fates is a story of a Tamilian girl who gets married with a Punjabi boy after convincing their families about their true and inseparable love. Though the colorful marriage fades as time spends and after two years all those things that seemed to be cute and amazing now seems awkward to them. This starts a series of witty and sarcastic events which result in that they both cannot stand each other. The only solution they find is to get separated. But situation becomes worse as by now both of the families have fallen in love with each other and they both are an inspirational couple for the younger ones of the family.
So do they get divorced? That's the story...
The story is in a similar genre to that of Two states, but in my personal opinion I would not call it a sequel as it has a completely different story track and characters. Though I would like to say that Two Fates would not have existed without Two States. The first 100 pages are interesting with lots of funny situations. Later half of the book is quite descriptive and introduces a lots of characters which creates confusion (I still don't know who was Rinky nd Twinky?).
Over all the book is worth spending a night (You won't take more then 7-8 hours to complete it) and meets the expectation of reader who buys the book reading the synopsis. I'll give three stars out of five to the book and will recommend to all the Chetan Bhagat style readers.
P.S: 1. For male readers "Read the book and hide it, 'coz if your "SHE" reads it, she will come to know about lot of things that she doesn't like about you".
2.For Aamir Khan "Update your security team,'Coz a DEVIL is heading towards you..."
