Revolution 2020 (Book review)

History is created by LEADERS not FOLLOWERS...
Chetan Bhagat is back again with another super-awesome story that will not only entertain you but also take you to a journey of Gopal (The protagonist) through LOVE,CORRUPTION AND AMBITION...
Chetan Bhagat is one of the revolutionary writers who were instrumental in raising the Indian literature to meet up the global level. The style and theme he started brought back the tradition of reading back in India. The sense of humor, fast-paced story and the perfect  combination of emotions in the story are the key feature which define Bhagat's novels. With a history of four best sellers, does Chetan creates another one to add to the list or does it fails?
I would say THIS ONE IS QUITE DIFFERENT!

The story of Revolution 2020, revolves around the three main characters Gopal, Arti and Raghav. Raghav is a intelligent and smart guy who makes up to IIT and later decides to join journalism with a aim to change the system suffering a lot. Aarti is a beautiful and ambitious still confused girl, who has the aim to become a air hostess but could not make it because of family restrictions. And last Gopal is the lead character who is a complete failure in life who could not make up for IIT with two consecutive attempts, thinks himself responsible for the death of his father ridden with debt and litigation and a jealous of his smart friend Raghav who get's Aarti, his childhood LOVE. The only ambition in Gopal's life is to make a lot of money by HOOK OR BY CROOK...

Like those of previous books this one also take almost a day and a night to be completed. The story line is perfect with in numerous twists which makes reader to gain interest. Though unlike TWO STATES  and FIVE POINT SOMEONE  the novel doesn't have much comic situation and is in a kind of serious genre. It can be said that rather than hero, it is a story of a villain. Also This time the story is not directly of a IIT-ian but revolves around Engineering only. The climax of the novel becomes in-predictable at a situation and makes the reader to think what will  the end of story. It can be said that this time Chetan Bhagat handled a very critical topic with a very intelligent story and did justice to all..

I would give it three and a half stars out of five, as I am a die hard Chetan Bhagat fan and like him in humorous stories rather than anti-social stories. (I had same review for Three mistakes of my life). I would recommend it to the readers who like to discuss the topics like that of increasing corruption and change in society e.t.c on the dinner. The traditional fan's who liked Five point someone and other of similar genre would find this one a little disappointing.
